![]() |
Today we will discuss how to convert temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit. There are formulas that make the Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion and also ones that convert Fahrenheit to Celsius. In the United States, temperatures are often measured in degrees Fahrenheit whereas in continental Europe and Asia they are often measured in degrees Celsius or centigrade. This makes the formula for converting between Celcius to Fahrenheit very useful.

Now, let's C stand for degree Celsius and F stands for degrees Fahrenheit. We have the following formula for the Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion.

So, if you know what the temperature is in degree Celcius (or centigrade), just multiply by 9, then divide by 5 and add 32 to that number and you have the temperature in degree Fahrenheit. Alternatively, if you know the temperature in degree Fahrenheit, you can equally convert it to Celsius using the formula:

In another word, you subtract 32 from the temperature in degree Fahrenheit then multiply that number by 5 and then divide by 9.
So, now you have a way to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit and from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
