Question: Will you help me with this math problem please?
40. Your school has contracted with a professional animal trainer to host a donkey basketball game at the school. The school has guaranteed an attendance of at least 1000 people and $4800 in total ticket sales. The tickets ate $4 for a student and $6 for a non-student, or which, the animal trainer receives $3 from students and $4 from non-students. What is the minimum amount the animal trainer could receive? What is the maximum?
Answer: Minimum attendance (students = x):
$4x + $6(1,000 - x) = $4,800
$2x + $3(1,000 - x) = $2,400
$2x + $3,000 - $3x = $2,400
x = 600
Non-student:
= 1,000 - 600
= 400
Minimum trainer's receipts:
= $3(600) + $4(400)
= $1,800 + $1,600
= $3,400
Maximum trainer's receipts:
= $4(1,000)
= $4,000
Answer: Between $3,400 and more than or equal to $4,000
