Question: 8th grade math problem help?
It says:
"The figure below depicts the fifteen balls racked up for a game of pool. The balls are numbered from 1 to 15. You must determine the placement of the balls so that the following is true:
The value of every ball in the bottom four rows is the different between the values of the balls immediately above it. Balls 1, 2, and 3 have been positioned for you."
And then it has this Pool set up drawing, with five circles on top, then four below, then three, then two, then one. The numbers given were 1, 2, and 3.
3 is the second number in (from the left) on the very top row (the one with 5 spaces), 1 is on the row below in the third spot from the left, and 2 is in the row below that being in the first far left spot.

when i was trying to find the numbers next to the 3, i realized that it might work if i use the highest one near the 3. once i had 3,15,14, the rest just fit in naturally.
