Question: how is math used in video games?
like algebra
Answer: Racing games uses a lot of math, specifically physics. Programmers need to know how fast a car is moving, what the friction coefficient is, the mass of the vehicle, etc. Then they need to know if traveling that fast will let you make the turn or will it cause you to crash.
For RPG, math is used to determine whether or not you'll hit the monster, and if you do hit, how much damage will you do.
For other games, wind velocity, distance, speed of the bullet, gravity, etc. decides whether or not you hit someone.
